Speed Up Closing Running Services at Shutdown
This feature allows you to force your computer to shut down more quickly.
When you shut down (sign out or restart) your system, Windows doesn’t shut down immediately. Instead, it gives running services some time to close first. This is in order to clean up and save their data before forcibly closing them. Using the “Automatically Close Hung Services” feature, you can reduce the time how long Windows waits.
You shouldn’t normally need to change this setting because it can lead to issues such as service being unable to save their data properly, as Windows kills them before they can do that. But it can be helpful if you’d like to force your computer to shut down more quickly.
