Disable the POSIX Subsystem
This tweak allows you to disable or enable support for applications that use the POSIX subsystem interface.
If a check mark is set, the POSIX subsystem is disabled. If a check mark is removed, the POSIX subsystem is enabled.
By default, the POSIX subsystem is enabled.
POSIX (Portable Operating System Interface) a family of standards specified by IEEE for maintaining compatibility among operating systems, based on UNIX.
The POSIX Subsystem allows applications that are created for UNIX (POSIX) standard to run under Windows. The operating systems provide support for nonnative applications by emulating the environments in which they are designed to be processed. In most cases, users simply do not use this feature, and besides, it reduces the security of the system. If you also do not use this subsystem, it makes sense to disable it. If you want to disable the POSIX subsystem, you can do it using the "Disable the POSIX Subsystem" setting of the Red Button program.
