Disable CTFMON

This feature allows you to disable or enable the autostart of the CTFMON (ctfmon.exe) program.

CTFMON (ctfmon.exe) is a process used by Microsoft Office to activate the Alternative User Input Text Input Processor (TIP) and also the Microsoft Language Bar. Alternative User Input allows you to control the computer via speech or a pen tablet, or using the onscreen keyboard. The language bar is displayed alongside the system tray (notification area) if more than one keyboard layout is enabled (for switching input languages) or, for example, if speech is selected as an alternative input.

If you, like most, do not use alternative inputs methods and you do not need the language bar in the system tray, CTFMON autorun can be turned off.
